Stars of the Hastings 2025

Mercure was proud to once again support Stars of the Hastings — and what a year it’s been! From hosting the official launch and behind-the-scenes interviews with the dancers, to cheering them on at the big night, we were there every step of the way.

Adding to the fun, Flower Hotels Managing Director, Alistair Flower joined the judging panel this year, helping to decide who would take home top honours.

The 2025 event was truly one for the record books, raising over $260,000 for Cancer Council Australia — a phenomenal achievement that reflects the generosity and spirit of our local community. This milestone year also marked the event’s 10th anniversary, making the celebrations even more special.

A huge congratulations to joint winners George Sargent and Emma Schuch, whose 10 out of 10 performances wowed the judges. Hats off to Maddie Wilson, who took home the Highest Fundraiser award with an extraordinary total of $58,302 made possible thanks to the incredible support of local businesses, friends, and community members.
